 The Fitzgerald Room

Originally the master bedroom, this is our largest room.  A grand, sun-filled wall of light runs  across the full width of the townhouse with three full-sized, restored original windows looking out onto the trees of Rutland Road.  A beautiful carved pine California king-sized bed, a mantle and sealed firelplace, restored parquet flooring and a walk-in closet are just some of the rich details.  A Moroccan lantern and tile table add an ethnic touch the Victorian wood and plaster detailing. Just one flight up, this room can be joined with The O'Neal room as a two-bedroom suite.

Another grand front room above The Fitzgerald, The Osborne feels like it is floating on the clouds above Lefferts Manor.  A king-sized bed and walk-in closet, sealed fireplace and mantle give this room a strong Victorian air.

This quiet retreat in the back of the house looks out over the gabled rooftops of Fenimore Street and down onto the gardens and yards below.  A full sized room with two twin beds make this room ideal for traveling friends or family who prefer separate beds.  One flight up from Parlor, this room can be joined with The Fitzgerald Room as a two-bedroom suite.

A quaint little escape with a view of the trees on Rutland Road with a lovely queen-sized bed, a shaker end table and leather ottoman adorn this cozy getaway.  Although the room is small it has a coat closet and is quite comfortable even for two on a short stay.

 The Fort Greene Apartments

Good friends of ours have partnered with us and opened up their townhouses in the wonderful neighborhood of Fort Greene. All of our units are in owner-occupied private homes, though separated from the host families.  Four of our units are on Washington Park, a unique 2-block long street between DeKalb and Myrtle Avenues along the top of historic Fort Greene Park.  Formerly a private street for gilded age lords and magnates, most of the buildings were originally private homes built in the 1870's.  The other two units are a few blocks away in the heart of Fort Greene's shop and restaurant row, at Clermont and DeKalb Avenues. This historic setting is also just blocks to downtown Brooklyn trains, minutes to Manhattan and a 15 minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge and Pratt Institute.

The Fort Greene neighborhood is also known for its landmark architecture, hip restaurants and shops, Brooklyn Academy of Music theaters and stage and much more.

Our apartments all feature historic details, tasteful decor and simple, uncluttered elegance.  Some have private bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens.  1870's details including decorative fireplaces, parquet flooring and wood and plaster moldings throughout.  The Washington and The Carlton, can be rented combined for a family or group with a capacity of 5 including the day bed in the den, or as two separate suites with a shared bathroom in the center, accessible through a common, lockable hallway. 

The Vanderbilt is a charming private studio nestled quietly in the upper top of the home, it features a fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom.

The Lafayette is a grand floor-through apartment on the garden level with a full kitchen, private bathroom and optional 4-person capacity with an optional extra bedroom.

The Clermont is a full one-bedroom apartment on the garden level with a massive eat-in kitchen and full back yard with deck.  Just steps to gourment food markets, shops and restaurants in the center of Fort Greene.

The Clinton is a lovely queen bedroom with en suite bathroom, also in the heart of Fort Greene, with separate entrance and use of the owners back yard and deck.

The Lefferts Annex

Guest House

A lovely little annex guest house just one block away from our home B & B features four well-appointed guest rooms in a period two-story brownstone with all original details in tact!  Guests here enjoy a parlor sitting area in the front parlor and a complimentary hot beverage station as well as a large guest fridge, microwave and toaster in the center parlor.

The annex house features two large double rooms, The Thomas and The Benjamin and two tiny single rooms, The Alexander and The Whitney.  Guests here will also have a key to our home B & B and can enjoy additional amenities including a guest computer and printer, library and also a full service breakfast for an additional $10 per person.
